While this is a drumset for beginners, it in many ways is good enough for intermediate drummers and with the right upgrades can even be used by a professional drummer and ranks for best acoustic drums.
While there are a lot of cheap drumsets for beginners, many of those beginner drumsets are just that…”cheap”. This was the first drumset I owned. This was a drumset for kids, a true drumset for beginners at the time I purchased this drum kit. What I didn’t realize is that the Pearl Export Series drum kit was a high quality drum kit that I would be using in my professional career.
While this is not my go to drum kit for professional drumming, it is good to know that if you are looking for a drum set for beginners that can be useful as you improve and perhaps become a professional drummer, this drum set fits the bill.
I will also mention that I think the new Pearl Export Drumsets are sleeker and better made than back when I got one. They are also a bit more affordable drumsets than they used to be. Even though the Pearl Export Drumsets are mass produced drumsets, they are one of the most popular (possibly the most popular drumset) and best selling drumsets of all time, for a good reason.
