Overview

Michael Rath trombones are based out of northern England and are world renowned for their quality.

Critic Consensus

Whether it’s a personalized custom horn or one of the Michael Rath regular trombone models, they are horns built with precision and craftsmanship and are used widely in the UK and around the world so we reviewed it amongst the best trombones.

This is their intermediate tenor trombone that comes complete with high quality case and mouthpiece. People who play on Rath horns often love them and have nothing but glowing things to say about them. This particular horn is more suited to jazz with it’s smaller bore (.500”), but Rath bones are known to be great for both classical and jazz in general.

Compare to the Bach TB301 trombone review and the Mendini MTB-40 trombone review.
