This is another high level, professional grade horn and the price tag reflects that amongst the best trombones. Getzen has been making horns for almost a century now and you can be certain that this horn will also hold up in any professional scenario.

This is also a large bore horn and is good for both classical and jazz, and it has the F attachment so that you can reach lower notes and also not have to reach out to sixth or seventh position. The red brass of the bell help to give it a warmer and mellower sound overall. This is neither better nor worse as it’s simply a matter of taste. The higher level of copper in the bell makes for a more resonant sound, but the resulting diminished zinc content means it doesn’t cut through as much. Some find red, or rose, brass to be very desirable.

Compare this to the Yamaha YSL-448G intermediate trombone review and the Cecilio 4Series TB-483 trombone review.
