Selmer is a name that is most often associated with saxophones, but they’ve been making more wind instruments than that for a long time and they have a line of brass instruments that are very high quality horns so we’re reviewing their Prelude in our list of best trombones.
The price of this Bb Lacquered student tenor trombone is a good medium between going more professional level and a slightly more cheaply made starter horn that would be a few hundred less and the value you get is reflective of that. This is a smaller bore horn, .500”, which is perfect for someone wanting to be play jazz or lead trombone. It comes with a genuine Bach 12C mouthpiece as oppose to one that was just manufactured to the shape of a 12C, a hard case and some Bach slide cream.
