Searching for the best trombones, the Mendini MTB-40 Intermediate B Flat Tenor Valve is a valve trombone thats a solid option for anyone wanting to get one. Though it is not ‘’pure’’ trombone in the traditional sense, valve trombones can give you the trombone sound, combined with the ability to articulate with valves in the same way that trumpet players can, rather than a slide.

This kit, like others that Mendini offer, gives you everything to get started on valve trombone, including a standard shaped mouthpiece, hard case and more. The bore is on the smaller side so this is a great option for someone looking for a jazz horn.

Compare to the Michael Rath intermediate tenor trombone review and the Plastic Trombone (PBone) review.
