Amongst the consideration of best trombones, and another offering from Bach, this horn is a high quality student model, small bore (.500”) tenor trombone. This one is without the F attachment. It comes with a high quality hard case and mouthpiece and is a great choice for the serious student of the trombone. This is a smaller bore horn (.500”) and so is ideal for playing jazz or lead trombone.

Even though it’s considered a ‘’student’’ horn, this Bach is a robust, easy to play, great sounding horn that can hang with the best of them. Pretty much anything that has the name ‘’Bach” on it, you can trust will be of a premium quality.

Compare to the Bach 42BO Stradivarius series trombone review and the Michael Rath intermediate tenor trombone review.

9.4 Expert Score

Bach makes horns that are well built, have a great resonant and have a consistent response across the entire horn.
