Musician’s Biography:
Tony Royster Jr. was once a child prodigy that was a protege of the great Dennis Chambers. Today he is a full grown genius drummer, taking his high energy drumming to recording sessions and tours with the biggest musicians in the business.
Tony Royster was born in 1984 raised in Georgia where his father taught him how to play the drums as the age of three. It was obvious at a young age that he was going to excel and while he was a young drummer he earned endorsements with Sabian Cymbals, DW Drums, Remo Drumheads, Shure Microphones, Vic Firth Drum Sticks and LP Percussion.
At the age of 15 he performed at the Annual Grammy Awards show and his star skyrocketed, leading Royster to opportunities performing with Jay-Z at Obama’s inaugural ball, accompanied Mac Miller at Coachella and is the touring drummer for Katy Perry. Tony Royster Jr. was also recognized with receiving the prestigious Louis Armstrong Jazz Award and the Senior Award for his accomplishments in drumming.
