Yamaha JR1 Review

Acoustic Guitar Features:

  • The FG Junior is a 3/4 sized guitar
  • Spruce top
  • Travel sized guitar

If you are looking for a small guitar that is well built and ideal for young children this is a great affordable option and is much nicer that the small toy quality guitars that people try to pass off for children of lesser brands. Adults looking for a more standard-sized guitar can give our Yamaha F335 Guitar review a read.

The small size of the upper frets and the extremely small size makes it better for children than for musicians looking for a travel guitar, although it is so small that it is great for traveling if you don’t have a lot of room. Another travel-friendly model is featured in our Martin LX1 review. That one’s great for kids, and if you want an adult option, consider giving our Martin Backpacker review a read too.

The guitar holds its tune very well which is nice for beginners, and anyone else for that matter and the spruce top and rosewood fingerboard bring some extra quality to this very affordable guitar.
