Fender CD60S Review & Acoustic Guitar Features

  • Dreadnought body style
  • Solid spruce top with “X”-bracing
  • mahogany back and sides
  • Mahogany neck
  • 20-fret rosewood fingerboard
  • Rosewood bridge
  • compensated saddle

For a guitar under $200, this is a great deal.  The dreadnought body is a classic look and the Fender CD-60S is designed to be easy on the hands and fingers with a great mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard.

The tone is warm and bright and the look of the guitar mimics that of much more expensive guitars.  If you are a beginner guitarist, you will especially be thankful for the nice rosewood fretboard and bridge.

PROS
  • An excellent full tone enhanced by the mahogany and spruce design
  • Very comfortable for the hands and fingers, which makes it great for learning or just playing in general
  • Nice finishes on the body, which keeps it from looking as cheap as the price.
CONS
  • Comes with pretty high action, but it is adjustable so that is okay
  • As a mass produced instrument, sometimes there are inconsistencies but haven't heard too many complaints on this one
