Wes Stephenson: Bassist of The Funky Knuckles
Aside from his own project The Funky Knuckles, Wes tours and records with Snarky Puppy’s guitarist, Mark Lettieri, in the Mark Lettieri Group. They’re heading overseas for a run of shows in October- be sure to catch them on the road if you’re traveling, or want to travel this fall. One of our favorite new ideas for travel is discovering music events in new places that we want to visit- its a great way to explore, while having a fun show to catch along the way.
Wes composes arrangements as well as just crushes any music he plays on the bass. The same way we all think of Seattle as a breeding ground for music in the 90’s, Dallas Texas will likely be regarded for amazing jazz musicians coming out in the 2000’s.
