Neil Young and his new backing band, The Chrome Hearts, have announced their 2025 “Love Earth” World Tour, marking Young’s first extensive touring schedule since 2019. The global trek will begin in Europe this June before crossing North America from August through mid-September.

The tour announcement comes shortly after the release of “big change,” the first single from the band’s forthcoming debut album “Talkin’ to the Trees,” expected in April. Neil Young first performed with The Chrome Hearts last September at Farm Aid and The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.

Starting in Rättvik, Sweden on June 18, the European leg includes performances in Norway, Denmark, Ireland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. A previously announced Glastonbury Festival appearance will take place between the Dublin and Brussels dates, following Young’s initial reluctance about the festival which he had called a “corporate turn-off” before changing his stance.

The North American portion begins August 8 in Charlotte, North Carolina, with shows across the United States and Canada, including Toronto’s Budweiser Stage on August 17 and Vancouver’s Deer Lake Park on September 6. The tour concludes at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on September 15.

The Chrome Hearts features guitarist Micah Nelson (son of Willie Nelson), drummer Anthony LoGerfo, organist Spooner Oldham, and bassist Corey McCormick. Young has dubbed the upcoming run the “Summer of Democracy,” promising “old songs and new songs, old words and new words, long jams!”

Continuing his environmental activism, Young has partnered with Farm Aid to bring Homegrown Concessions to the tour venues, offering sustainably produced food from local family farms served in compostable containers.

Tickets will be available first through a 48-hour Neil Young Archives members presale beginning today, February 25, before general sales open on Friday, February 28 at 10 a.m. local time.
