  • The mahogany guitar body is a thing of beauty. The mahogany wood is appealing to the eye while creating a warm, rich tone that is quite impressive.
  • For what it costs, I’d have a hard time finding an acoustic guitar with better value. This guitar is a steal!
  • There are no preamps as this is not an electric-acoustic guitar. It is just an acoustic guitar. Technically, that does not make it a “con” but if that is what you are looking for, this is the best place to tell you to keep looking.

      • 100% mahogany body

      • Adjustable truss rod
      • Natural finish to show the mahogany grains
      • Dreadnought body, concert

The Yamaha FG850 acoustic guitar is the best guitar yet in the FG series produced by Yamaha. The FG series guitars were introduced in 1966 and it was proof that you do not have to break the bank to get a professional sounding and performing acoustic guitar.

The Yamaha FG850 acoustic guitar is the latest in the series with even more advanced features than the previous four models. It is common knowledge that the sound produced by an acoustic is dependent on the wood used. In this guitar Yamaha has used 100% solid mahogany body that will give you lively and warm tones anytime.

The guitar is versatile and resonates really well. It is light weight and comfortable when on you so you can play for long. Playing the Yamaha FG850 acoustic guitar is so effortless and the warm and full sound produced just makes you want to keep playing.

This guitar is recommended for intermediate to pro guitarists. If you are beginner and want something you can grow in then you might also consider this. This guitar will surprisingly give you better sound than many other comparable and even expensive guitars in the market. If you have the money and are just starting out, you can check out this Taylor A12E review for a potential first guitar.
