Two sold-out Red Rocks nights in 2026 apparently weren’t enough. Sublime is returning to Morrison, Colorado on April 17–18, 2027 — and this time, the format gets sharper. Night one delivers 40oz. to Freedom, the 1992 debut, performed in full. Night two centers the Diamond-certified 1996 self-titled album alongside additional catalog cuts. It’s the kind of programming that treats albums as complete arguments, not shuffle-ready playlists — the same instinct driving every arena “experience” tour from Taylor Swift to Beyoncé, where the full arc of a record suddenly matters again.
Two Nights, Two Eras
Each night frames a distinct chapter of Sublime’s catalog, turning a concert weekend into something closer to a listening session at scale.
Here’s what you’re looking at:
- April 17, 2027: 40oz. to Freedom (1992) performed in full
- April 18, 2027: Sublime (1996) plus additional catalog material
- Public tickets on sale Friday, Nov. 6, 10 a.m. MT via Red Rocks; AXS presale Wednesday, Nov. 4, 10 a.m. MT
- Current lineup: founding members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh, with Jakob Nowell on vocals
- Until the Sun Explodes (2026) — first new Sublime album in 30 years; title track spent three consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard Alternative Airplay
The 2026 Red Rocks run sold out, according to Spin. During those shows, the band reportedly performed the self-titled album in full for the first time. The 2027 dates extend that momentum rather than simply repeat it.
A Catalog That Never Stopped Moving
The numbers behind Sublime’s legacy make a compelling case that this is an active story, not a retrospective one.
Sublime’s 1996 self-titled album holds RIAA Diamond certification — more than 10 million certified U.S. units. That figure reflects decades of genuine reach, not a sudden revival spike.
The anniversary drew real institutional weight. The Grammy Museum hosted Sublime: Straight From Long Beach, a six-month exhibition featuring handwritten lyrics and original instruments. On radio, the single “Ensenada” spent eight consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Airplay chart in 2025. The band also launched the Reef Madness cruise — Nov. 15–19, departing Miami — with Yelawolf, G. Love, DJ Muggs, and Long Beach Dub Allstars aboard.
Jakob Nowell fronting his late father’s band carries obvious emotional weight, and the group doesn’t pretend otherwise. The chart results, sold-out venues, and a new album speak for themselves. What the April 2027 dates offer is rare: two nights, two foundational records, one chance to hear them the way they were meant to land — beginning to end, no skipping.
The presale window opens November 4th. Public on-sale follows November 6th at 10 a.m. MT.
