Going Solo: The Who’s legendary frontman Roger Daltrey has revealed plans for a nine-date UK solo tour in spring 2025. NME reports that the intimate shows will feature both Who classics and solo material, accompanied by a stellar nine-piece band, including longtime collaborator Simon Townshend.
Unique Format Unveiled: Each performance promises an innovative blend of acoustic and semi-acoustic arrangements, complemented by interactive question-and-answer sessions. The tour kicks off on April 20 at Brighton Dome and concludes on May 4 at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.
- Nine carefully selected venues across Britain
- Intimate settings enable audience interaction
All-Star Band Assembled: Blabbermouth reports that the backing ensemble features an impressive lineup, including Doug Boyle on guitar, John Hogg on bass, and violinist Katie Jacoby. Daltrey’s band demonstrates his commitment to delivering fresh interpretations of classic material.
Legacy Continues: The tour follows Daltrey’s successful 24-year tenure as the Teenage Cancer Trust’s figurehead, during which time he helped raise £34 million through Royal Albert Hall concerts. Now serving as an Honorary Patron, he maintains his dedication to charitable causes. We recently reported The Who’s Return in 2025.
Ticket Access Opens: Fans can secure their spots beginning Friday, November 15, at 10 a.m., as high demand is expected for these unique performances.
