There was a time when festival posters had a clear hierarchy. One name at the top, slightly larger than God. Everyone else arranged below in descending font sizes. Primavera Sound 2027 doesn’t work that way. For its 25th edition — June 3–5 at Parc del Fòrum — the Barcelona festival has co-billed 16 artists at the same level: Phoebe Bridgers, Massive Attack, Caroline Polachek, Robyn, the Chemical Brothers, Doechii, and ten others sharing equal visual real estate on the poster.
One Bill, Every Sound You’ve Been Chasing
Primavera’s 2027 lineup spans indie rock, electronic, hip-hop, experimental pop, and punk with genuine breadth.
The lineup covers significant ground across genres:
- Fontaines D.C. and Turnstile anchor the guitar end
- The Chemical Brothers and a Skrillex b2b Ninajirachi set handle the rave
- Doechii represents hip-hop
- FKA twigs, Robyn, and Kim Petras cover pop’s experimental edge
Drop down the bill and you find Anohni, Underworld, Dinosaur Jr., Weyes Blood, Julien Baker, and Bleachers. The lineup reads less like a festival poster and more like a streaming algorithm that actually knows you. The festival opens June 2, runs its main program June 3–5, and closes with a dedicated electronic event on June 6 — all at Parc del Fòrum, Barcelona, in what marks the festival’s 25th edition. Dance and experimental programming includes Arca, Shygirl, Snow Strippers, and S.A.S.S., the collective of Saoirse, Moxie, Peach, and Shanti Celeste.
Unfinished Business at the Fòrum
Massive Attack’s return carries weight that no press release can manufacture.
At the 2026 edition, rain and wind gusts reaching approximately 80 km/h ultimately made performances impossible at the festival’s exposed main stages. Primavera Sound’s official statement noted that organizers initially attempted to resume the affected sets before safety considerations made that impossible — canceling Massive Attack, Doja Cat, and Bad Gyal in the process. Their 2027 bookings carry the kind of unfinished-business energy that gives a lineup announcement genuine emotional stakes beyond a standard press release.
Adéla, Prospa, Lola Young, Mabe Fratti, and Lip Critic sit further down the bill — and Primavera’s lower tiers are consistently worth your attention.
The Party Doesn’t Stop on Saturday
June 6 extends the festival into a dedicated electronic closing session with three of dance music’s most reliable headliners.
The June 6 closing event, Primavera Bits, functions as its own destination. Richie Hawtin, Four Tet, and Dixon running an all-day session gives dance music fans a compelling reason to extend their trip beyond the three main days. Ticket and pricing details were not independently verified at publication — check official festival sales channels for updates.
Twenty-five editions in, Primavera still refuses to flatten itself around one sound or one name. That’s not a curatorial accident — it’s the whole point.
