Lady Gaga‘s upcoming seventh studio album “Mayhem” promises a return to her darker pop roots, with the singer describing the creative process as “reassembling a shattered mirror.” The album, set for March 7 release, features collaborations with Bruno Mars and French producer Gesaffelstein.
Executive produced by Gaga alongside fiancé Michael Polansky and Andrew Watt, the 14-track collection includes the chart-topping “Die With A Smile” with Bruno Mars and recent single “Disease.” The album’s third single “Abracadabra” debuted during the Grammy Awards, where “Die With A Smile” took home two awards.
“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” Gaga explains. The project marks her first pure pop release since 2020’s “Chromatica,” following soundtrack work for “Joker: Folie à Deux” and “Top Gun: Maverick.”
Production credits include Andrew Watt and Cirkut, known for their work with Miley Cyrus and The Weeknd, while Gesaffelstein brings his industrial electronic influence to tracks like “Killah.” Polansky, primarily known as a tech entrepreneur, contributed songwriting to eight tracks.
The album will be available in multiple formats, including a Target-exclusive yellow vinyl edition with bonus track and a limited translucent ruby vinyl through Interscope Records. Pre-orders are available now.
