Ariana Grande has officially confirmed the long-awaited deluxe edition of her seventh studio album “Eternal Sunshine,” releasing a dramatic teaser video featuring burning personal items. The announcement comes exactly one year after the original album’s release, which dominated charts with hits like “Yes, And?” and “We Can’t Be Friends.”
On Saturday, March 8, Grande shared the intense clip on social media alongside a pre-save link for the project, which fans have dubbed the “Brighter Days Edition” based on her recent hints. The video shows the same collection of personal mementos—including a teddy bear—that were incinerated in her “We Can’t Be Friends” music video, set at the fictional memory erasure facility called Brighter Days.
The singer has been teasing this release for months. During a January interview at the Golden Globes, she revealed, “There’s something I created last year that will eventually be released. It’s an extension of Eternal Sunshine. So, it does exist and it will be released at some point.”
When questioned about timing at the recent Oscars ceremony, where she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress for “Wicked,” Grande playfully dodged specifics: “They did the Brighter Days Memory Erasure treatment to me so I’m having trouble remembering the details. They’re hazy… I might need to return to the clinic to see if they can help me remember.”
This upcoming release follows multiple expansions of the original album. A “Slightly Deluxe” edition featuring four bonus tracks appeared shortly after the initial release, including collaborations with Troye Sivan and Mariah Carey. Another expanded version arrived in October 2024 with additional remixes featuring Brandy and Monica, plus live recordings.
Grande’s cryptic marketing approach has sparked intense fan speculation, with “Arianators” flooding social media with theories about release dates and potential new collaborations.
