Kiss, despite previously hanging up their platform boots and makeup, will reunite for a special unmasked performance in Las Vegas this November to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their fan club, the Kiss Army. The announcement coincides with the cancellation of 17 dates on Gene Simmons‘ solo tour, fueling fan speculation about the band’s future plans.
The “Kiss Army Storms Vegas” event, scheduled for November 14-16, 2025, at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, promises an intimate and nostalgic experience for die-hard fans. In addition to the reunion concert, the weekend will feature a performance by former Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick and appearances by other special guests.
The sudden cancellation of Simmons’ solo shows, which offered a unique “roadie for a day” experience at a premium price, has raised eyebrows among fans. While no official reason has been given, Simmons’ team has assured the public that there are no health concerns, stating that the bassist is “ok.”
The reunion performance marks Kiss’s first appearance since their “End of the Road” farewell tour concluded with a sold-out show at Madison Square Garden on December 2, 2023. Following that performance, the band publicly stated that they would retire their on-stage personas but continue the Kiss legacy through virtual avatars and new ventures.
“This is not the end,” Simmons declared after the final show. “This is the beginning of something else.”
In early 2024, Kiss sold their catalogue to Pophouse Entertainment Group, the company behind ABBA’s Voyage show, signaling plans to launch a virtual Kiss experience in 2027. The unmasked Vegas performance seems to bridge the gap between the band’s physical retirement and their planned digital reincarnation.
