The Spalted Maple Top has a very cool look that stands out and the Maple back and sides along with the Mahogany neck come together into a fine looking instrument. There are versions of this bass that are spalted Mango which is similar but not the same as spalted Maple. The spalted Mango has an orange hue which gives it the name Mango.
