  • The cost is very affordable and provides a value that unexpected at this price point.
  • It really is a great deal, just exotic.. If you can spend an extra 100-300 dollars there lots of fun exotic ukuleles, but this is a good option.

Overview

The Kmise Electric Acoustic Bass Ukulele is a well designed U-Bass.  The Built-In EQ is very solid for the cost featuring controls for volume, bass, mids and treble.  The design is well made and could work for a professional bassist as well as a beginner.

The accessories offered with the u-bass are a bonus as well.  The gigbag that comes with this bass ukulele is better quality than alot of the included soft cases that we have seen with other U-Basses.  There is also an included Allen Wrench with an easy-access to adjusting the action.  This is particularly handy for professional bassists that are particular about the action on their instruments.

Kmise did a nice job constructing this bass ukulele and it looks well made.  The mahogany not only looks great but it sounds great as well.  The added adjustment knobs on the bass neck help keep the U-Bass in tune, which can sometimes be an issue with other models.

While Kmise is a lesser known brand that Kala, they managed to put out a very competitive instrument, both in price and quality.

Critic Consensus

This Kmise is a nice Electric Acoustic Bass Ukulele to consider for overall best bass ukuleles.  It’s well designed and well built.

Features:

  • EQ for volume, bass, middle and treble.
  • ADJUSTABLE ACTION
  • Comes with an Allen wrench to adjust the action.
  • Smooth surface and edges
  • Adjustment knobs assure the bass ukulele stays in tune.
  • Accurate sound, minimal buzz

In addition to just liking the way it looks and sounds, the details are nice as well.  The built-in EQ is strong and provides controls for highs, mids, lows and volume.  Because the pickups and preamp are well made, it makes the Kmise U-Bass an option for professional bass players.

While a professional bassist could use this, it is in the price range that beginner ukulele players should consider.  The smooth edges and fingerboards make this bass ukulele easy on the fingers which is ideal for any bass ukulele player, especially beginners.

With adjustable action and an included allen wrench, professional bassists can customize the feel of this U-Bass.  While most guitars have the feature of adjustable action, not all ukulele and bass ukuleles have that feature.

Seems most bass ukuleles that are affordable are made out of mahogany which is nice because that is typically a more expensive wood and reflects in mahogany body full size guitars.  This particular style of mahogany has a nice look and stands out among some of the other brands using similar types of material.  The adjustments knobs and the tuning accuracy are solid as well.

While Kmise is a lesser known brand that Kala, they managed to put out a very competitive instrument, both in price and quality.
