Takamine GN93CE Review & Acoustic Electric Guitar Features:

  • NEX Cutaway Body
  • Rosewood Back with Quilt Maple Center
  • Rosewood Fingerboard
  • Takamine TK-40D Preamp
  • Built-In Tuner

I went on a mission to find some of the best acoustic guitars for under $100.  The Takamine GN93CE Acoustic Electric guitar is under $700 and plays like it should cost twice as much. If you’re looking for a much cheaper yet still quality guitar and are willing to stick with an acoustic guitar, you can consider the model we feature in our Jasmine S34C review. This model shares some features that you see in Takamine guitars.

It was a joy discovering this guitar as there are so many features you wouldn’t expected for a guitar under $700.  The abalone inlays and rosewood head cap are particularly nice touches on this guitar and lend to its stunning look.

With nice electronics and a 3 band EQ, notch filter and bypass option, performs well whether used as a pure acoustic or amplified.
