While Peavey guitar amps have a lot of cool combo amp features with exclusive designs that I really like, this little amp should not be oversold as some sort of ground breaking guitar combo amp. This is an affordable small practice amp with solid Peavey electronics and a Peavey patented solidstate design. It’s solid for what it is but will not replace a tube amp for performances by any means. For the size and price I do recommend this for musicians that need small low watt guitar practice amps.
Peavey guitar amps are powered by Peavey electronics including Peavey’s exclusive Trans Tube technology that delivers the heavy duty warmth and tone of tube amplifiers, delivered in Peavy’s solid state designs for consideration of best guitar amps.
The preamp and power amp deliver a live sound with dynamics and natural grit that normally wouldn’t be found in a little amp, landing its spot with best guitar amps under $100. The preamp on these little combo amps can provide a crystal clear to thick smooth sustain, while the power amp uses a natural compression that increases as the amp gets louder.
Peavey Audition Guitar Amp:
- 4″ heavy-duty speaker
- Trans Tube tube emulation circuitry
- Master Volume control
The Peavey guitar amp technology truly creates the feel of a tube amp in a solidstate design, making this little amp a solid choice for a low watt guitar amp.
- The Peavey technology truly creates some extra umph for a little amp.
- Definitely not a electric guitar amp to use for live performances despite what other reviews might say.
