Fender Squire Vintage Jazz Bass Review

9.6

I LOVE this bass.  I would have any bassist start on this bass if they were getting into the instrument.  It’s durable, it has the vintage look, it is fun to play and has the authentic Fender Jazz Bass sound.  And being a Squire model, you get the Squire price. With a preamp and/or compressor, no one would ever know it’s a squire.

The Squire models are the most affordable and still authentic versions of the original Fender Jazz Bass of best bass guitars, which is the quintessential sound for funk and jazz bass tones.  This bass guitar is solid maple including the body and neck. This bass looks and sound beautiful especially for the affordable price, and is noteworthy when searching for the best guitars.

FAQ Frequently Asked Questions

Does it come ready to play?

This bass comes prestrung in the factory box.  With the exception of needing to tune the bass, this instrument comes ready to play!

Does the bass include a case or bag?

This bass does not include a case or bag.  I would suggest purchasing either a case or a stand for the bass.

This bass is an amazing way to get up and running with a professional look and sound that is hard to come by at this price point.  If you are a professional or advance player there are models that have more control for intonation, better pickups and coils etc., but for this price point, it’s really hard to beat this bass.

9.6 Expert Score
